The Jackson County Junior Fair is underway. I hope you take the time to stop down at the fairgrounds in Cottageville to appreciate all the efforts of the many youth, volunteers and the Jackson County Junior Fair Board who work to create a wonderful environment for families.
The youth who partcipate with animals or projects, whether it is through 4-H or FFA, really work hard all year round. I have enjoyed seeing their efforts!
My oldest son, Solomon, had a 4-H project for the first time this year. He is becoming a beekeeper and has learned all about honeybees. He will be starting his own hive this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of support from the Jackson County Beekeepers!
Bennett & Garrison are cloverbuds. Bennett worked on The Animal Kingdom project this year.
I am a 4-H leader and we are all involved with our club, the Kenna Succeeders. Mary Sayre, our club leader, does a great job! The WVU Extension office, especially Tim Sayre, does a great job pulling the county 4-H organization together. The whole 4-H organization has been an exciting adventure for all of us.
See you at the Fair!
